A child with the disease can do everything else that normal children can do but they learn at a slower pace than the other children do.
The child can go to special programs at school that is fully equipped to help teach the child at the pace that they need.
There are also special activities and jobs that were formed for people who are affected by Down Syndrome.
There is, unfortunately, no cure for the disease but people with the disease lead fairly normal lives. Most people with Down Syndrome today live until they are ages fifty through sixty, and that is increasing constantly.
